Doha:Ilocos Norte The provincial government of Ilocos Norte is inviting unemployed individuals, particularly fresh graduates with four-year degree courses and good academic records, to apply for its internship program. There are 12 slots available for this initiative, as stated by Anne Marie Lizette Atuan, the head of the Provincial Public Employment Service Office.
According to Philippines News Agency, the initiative aims to provide young graduates with opportunities to gain practical work experience, develop professional skills, and improve their readiness for future employment. Atuan highlighted that the program is part of the provincial government's efforts to assist the youth in transitioning from academic life to the workplace by offering opportunities to learn in a government office setting.
Applicants interested in the program may submit their resume, transcript of records, diploma, personal data sheet, and application letter addressed to Governor Cecilia Araneta Marcos on Monday at the provincial capitol auditorium. Lance Justine Manuel, an Information Technology graduate who successfully transitioned to employment with the provincial government after his internship at the Provincial Information Office, remarked on the program as a valuable stepping stone for fresh graduates.
In addition to the internship program, the provincial government is opening 50 slots under the annual Special Program for the Employment of Students. This program prioritizes students from low-income families, certified by the community, Department of Social Welfare and Development, or City Social Welfare and Development Office.
