Ilocos Norte Police Extends Free Ride Service for Summer Travelers

Ilocos Norte: The Ilocos Norte Police Provincial Office (INPPO) has announced the continuation of its free ride service initiative for residents and tourists even after the Holy Week, to accommodate the influx of travelers during the summer season. The initiative, which features the "Manong Pulis Bus," aims to provide transportation between the city and the towns of Pagudpud and Badoc from 8 a.m. onwards.

According to Philippines News Agency, the INPPO's decision to extend the free ride service is part of a broader effort to connect public services with the community, alleviating transportation costs and ensuring safe travel for passengers. The Police Community Affairs and Development Office reported that 116 passengers utilized this service from April 19 to 20.

INPPO chief Col. Frederick Obar emphasized the organization's commitment to community-oriented policing and praised the efforts of the 23 police stations, force multipliers, and volunteer groups that supported operations during the Holy Week. He affirmed that the INPPO would persist with its law enforcement and public safety operations throughout the summer.
