Iloilo City Launches New Business Center to Expedite Document Processing

Iloilo city: Processing business documents here just became faster and more convenient following the opening of a new business center near Sunburst Park, designed as a one-stop shop for clients and investors.

According to Philippines News Agency, Local Economic Development and Investment Promotion (LEDIP) Office head Velma Jane Lao stated in an interview that the center simplifies document processing by housing all relevant offices in one building. Lao emphasized that the facility serves as a comprehensive hub for investors and business entities, although the Office of the Building Official (OBO) remains in a separate location.

The newly opened facility houses the LEDIP Office and its Business Permits and Licensing Division, the City Treasurer's Office, and the Bureau of Fire Protection. It also accommodates the City Environment and Natural Resources Office and the Public-Private Partnership Office. This consolidation aims to provide seamless service for business-related inquiries and transactions.

Lao mentioned that the center offers orientation for investors interested in understanding the city's economic performance. Investors can begin processing their documents immediately if they choose to invest during their visit. She confirmed that the center has been serving clients since the previous week.

The center, inaugurated on June 27, 2025, also accommodates the Office of the City Environment and Natural Resources Office and the Public-Private Partnership Office.
