Iloilo Consumers to Experience 12-Hour Power Interruption Due to Maintenance Work

Iloilo: Consumers within the franchise area of More Electric and Power Corp. (MORE Power) will experience a 12-hour power interruption on Sunday due to the maintenance work of the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP). In an advisory on Friday, MORE Power announced that the outage will impact consumers served by its substations in Molo, Diversion, and Arevalo, as well as the provincial capitol.

According to Philippines News Agency, the interruption, scheduled from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., will affect the villages of Flores Gloria, Roxas Village, and San Jose. Portions of Arsenal-Aduana, Danao, Delgado-Jalandoni-Bagumbayan, Ed Ganzon, Hipodromo, Inday, Jalandoni-Wilson, Kahirupan, Kauswagan, Liberation, Magsaysay, Nonoy, Rizal Estanzuela, Rizal Pala Pala I, Sampaguita, San Agustin, and Yulo-Arroyo in the city proper will also be affected, covering a total of 1,622 connections.

A shorter, six-hour interruption is also planned from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. for communities under Molo Feeder 3. Barangays Osme±a, Rima Rizal, Rizal Ibarra, and Rizal Pala Pala II, along with parts of Inday, Kauswagan, Magsaysay, Maria Clara, Nonoy, Rizal Pala Pala I, San Felix, Taal, and Villa Anita in City Proper and Nabitasan in La Paz, will experience a three-hour outage from 6 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Additionally, MORE Power will conduct a ride-on activity from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Barangays Libertad, Progreso, and Sinikway, and portions of Alalasan, Don Esteban, Jalandoni Estate, Lapuz Norte, Lapuz Sur, Loboc, and Punong in the Lapuz district; Danao and Ed Ganzon in City Proper; and Lopez Jaena Sur in La Paz.
