Iloilo city: The local government here recognized on Monday the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) for seizing over PHP39.8 million worth of shabu during the second quarter of 2025. Mayor Raisa Tre±as, at the regular flag-raising ceremony, lauded ICPO director Col. Kim Legada for the 176 anti-drug operations across the city during the period that resulted in the arrest of 241 drug personalities and the seizure of 5.86 kg. of shabu.
According to Philippines News Agency, the City Drug Enforcement Unit, led by Capt. Ryan Christ Inot, was also recognized for conducting 16 operations that resulted in the arrest of 30 drug personalities and the seizure of 1.81 kg. of shabu valued at PHP12.3 million during the same period. The city government commended three police stations as performing units: Police Station 8 under Capt. Lester Oliveros for April, Police Station 9 under Maj. Eduardo Siacon for May, and Police Station 4 under Capt. Inot in June.
Mayor Tre±as assured the local police that her administration will continue to support the ICPO in its anti-drug efforts, highlighting the importance of sustained operations in maintaining peace and order in the city. The recognition of the police units underscores the city's commitment to eradicating illegal drugs and supporting law enforcement initiatives.
