Iloilo city: Over 1,000 runners are expected to join the first in-mall community run at Festive Walk Iloilo in this city's Mandurriao district, designed to transform its spaces into a holistic wellness hub. The Saturday event, in partnership with Run Iloilo, aims to bring people of all ages together to develop an active lifestyle while enjoying a fun and memorable experience with family and friends.

According to Philippines News Agency, participants will complete a seven-kilometer route along the mall corridors, starting from the Atrium Garden up to the third floor. 'Here at Festive Walk Iloilo, we are committed to being more than just a place for retail and leisure, but also a lifestyle destination that values health and social engagement. With our Biggest In-Mall Community Run, we aim to champion wellness, inclusivity, and meaningful connections within the community,' Megaworld Lifestyle Malls Cluster general manager Camsy Elvi±a said in a statement on Friday.

Festive Iloilo is hoping to make the in-mall run an annual tradition, proving that retail spaces can serve a greater purpose for guests and visitors. Participants may register for free and are encouraged to come in comfortable running attire.

After the run, guests can enjoy free snacks and join an exciting raffle, featuring PHP7,000 worth of gift certificates from Marriott Hotel Iloilo and PHP3,000 worth of gift certificates from Richmonde Hotel Iloilo. Runners are advised to assemble by 4:30 a.m. The run will kick off at 5:00 a.m.
