The national team, coached by Juan Torres Garrido, who advanced to the semi-finals as Group C champions, faced intense resistance from the host team, resulting in both sides being unable to score in the first half. After a challenging first half, Indonesia's continuous efforts paid off when Muhammad Alfharezzi Buffon netted the winning goal in the 78th minute to book a place in the final against the most frequent champions, Thailand, at the same venue on Monday. Earlier, Thailand defeated Australia 1-0 in the other semi-final match. Garrido's team will face Australia in the third-place playoff match also scheduled for Monday.
