Mandaluyong city: Arellano University hopes to sustain its winning form in the V-League Collegiate Challenge at Gameville Central Park in Mandaluyong City on Saturday.
According to Philippines News Agency, the Lady Chiefs, sporting a 3-0 record, will face the University of Perpetual Help Lady Altas at 3 p.m. The University of Santo Tomas and University of the East, both tied with Perpetual at 1-1, are set to square off in the other women's match at 5 p.m.
In the men's division, defending champion Far Eastern University will go up against Mapua at 12 noon, while Arellano University aims for a share of the lead with idle Letran (3-1) as they take on De La Salle University at 10 a.m.
Heart Villaflores and Cris Servidad are expected to perform well again for the Lady Chiefs, who recently clinched a victory with a 19-25, 25-17, 34-32, 16-25, 15-7 performance over the College of Saint Benilde Lady Blazers.
The Lady Altas are coming off a 25-22, 28-26, 21-25, 25-21 win against the San Beda Lionesses last August 22. Meanwhile, the Angge Poyos-led Golden Tigresses are eager to rebound from a five-set loss to the Lady Chiefs. The Lady Warriors, led by rookie Janessa Buhay, aim to recover from an 18-25, 23-25, 16-25 defeat to the Adamson Lady Falcons on August 23.
