According to Philippines News Agency, the proposed bills include the One Tablet, One Student Act to promote digital inclusion, the 'Pangkabuhayan' (Livelihood) Act to assist micro and small enterprises, and the Living Wage Act to guarantee fair compensation for Filipino workers. These proposals are designed to cater to the immediate and long-term needs of various sectors within society.
Additional measures outlined by Legarda include the Unpaid Care Workers Equity and Empowerment Act, Magna Carta of Waste Workers, Low Carbon Economy Act, and Blue Economy Act, which supports the sustainable management of marine resources. These initiatives aim to create a more equitable and sustainable future for Filipinos, particularly those in marginalized and vulnerable communities.
Also part of her legislative focus are the Monthly Maintenance Medication Support for Senior Citizens Act, Women and Children Protection Units Act, and the Complementarity in Education Act, which seeks to enhance public-private collaboration in education.
