Manila: The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) in Northern Mindanao has successfully consolidated 834 routes for modernized public utility vehicles (PUVs) that are now ready for implementation. This development marks a significant step in the region's efforts to modernize its public transportation system.

According to Philippines News Agency, the latest figures reflect the status of the Local Public Transport Route Plan (LPTRP) under the government's PUV Modernization Program, as shared by LTFRB-10 Development Officer Mohammad Hajam Sarip. The consolidated routes encompass a variety of public transportation options designed to enhance mobility and accessibility across the region.

The LPTRP includes 10 public utility jeepney (PUJ) routes, with 294 PUJ Class II units and 107 PUJ Class III units. Additionally, 35 newly approved routes have been established, along with nine UV Express Class III units and 48 new routes.
