Manila: A magnitude 5.5 earthquake struck Manay, Davao Oriental at 6:27 p.m. on Saturday, following two stronger tremors in the same town the previous day.
According to Philippines News Agency, a Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) advisory reported that the earthquake had a depth of 10 km and was initially recorded at magnitude 5.8. Intensity III was experienced in Mati City, Davao Oriental; Sta. Maria, Davao Occidental; Nabunturan, Davao de Oro; and Malungon, Sarangani.
Intensity II was recorded in Digos City, Davao del Sur; Alabel and Kiamba, Sarangani; Tupi, South Cotabato; and Palimbang, Sultan Kudarat.
