Manila: Malaca±ang announced on Wednesday that there is no official information regarding the International Criminal Court's (ICC) alleged issuance of an arrest warrant against Senator Ronald 'Bato' dela Rosa. This development is linked to crimes against humanity associated with the Philippines' anti-drug campaign during the previous administration.

According to Philippines News Agency, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro addressed reporters, stating, "If they know anything, they have not shared it with everyone. As of now, there is no confirmed notice regarding an existing warrant of arrest." Castro's remarks followed the statement by former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque, who claimed that the ICC had already issued a warrant for Dela Rosa's arrest.

Castro urged the public to await any official actions from the ICC. "To our knowledge, even the ICC could not confirm the issuance of the said warrant of arrest," she said. "Let us just wait and see if the ICC will actually issue a warrant of arrest."

The Philippine National Police (PNP) previously mentioned that they have not received any information regarding Dela Rosa's location. Dela Rosa held the position of national police chief during former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte's administration.

When questioned about Senator Robin Padilla's advice for Dela Rosa not to surrender to foreign authorities, Castro emphasized the importance of compliance. "Messages like that only show people unwilling to follow the law," she stated. "If there is a valid warrant of arrest, we know what should be done. One should not be advised to hide and just let the police find them, because that is their job. It is better to advise compliance with the law," Castro added.
