Manila: The city government of Manila is set to construct a pharmacy warehouse in the Pandacan district. This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance healthcare services within the city.
According to Philippines News Agency, the project will be undertaken in collaboration with the Department of Health (DOH) and the office of Manila 6th District Representative Bienvenido Abante Jr. Mayor Honey Lacuna emphasized the significance of this development, highlighting its role in strengthening health services across Manila. The announcement was made alongside plans for the newly improved Isidro Mendoza Health Center, which is anticipated to be completed by April 2025.
The groundbreaking ceremony, held at the Isidro Mendoza Health Center construction site, was attended by several key figures including Lacuna, Abante, Manila Health Department Chief Arnold Pangan, and Health Undersecretary Emmie Liza Perez-Chiong. This event marked the official commencement of both the pharmacy warehouse and health center projects.
Mayor Lacuna, herself a medical professional, expressed a deep understanding of the importance of affordable and accessible medicines for Manila residents. She extended gratitude to Representative Abante and the DOH for their support in realizing the largest pharmacy warehouse in the city.
