Pasig City: The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has officially launched the 'May Huli Ka 2.0' website, providing vehicle owners with a streamlined platform to monitor their traffic violations under the No Contact Apprehension Policy (NCAP). This initiative aims to improve transparency and accessibility for vehicle owners across the region.
According to Philippines News Agency, during a press conference held at the MMDA headquarters in Pasig City, MMDA Chairperson Romando Artes highlighted the new website's features. Vehicle owners can now conveniently verify their traffic violations by entering their plate or conduction sticker number along with their motor vehicle (MV) file number. This added requirement ensures enhanced security and privacy, addressing previous concerns where violations could be accessed merely by entering a plate number.
The website not only lists violations but also guides offenders on subsequent steps, including the payment process, payment locations, and procedures to contest or appeal apprehensions. Artes emphasized that several improvements and additional features are in the pipeline to boost user convenience and enforcement efficiency.
Planned enhancements include detailed violation information such as photographic and video evidence, specifics on the date and time of the violation, type of infraction, applicable fines, and settlement venues. Moreover, the MMDA intends to introduce real-time short messaging system (SMS) and email notifications for any new violations recorded, the capability for users managing multiple vehicles or fleets to register all units under a single account, an online contestation process with hearing schedules, and integration of online payment systems.
