Bangsamoro: The Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) political party has conceded defeat in the recent Bangsamoro Parliamentary Elections (BPE) and vowed to work with the new leadership of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM). According to Philippines News Agency, the Bangsamoro Party, or BaPa, is headed by MNLF Chairman Muslimin Sema, who is currently the labor minister of the interim Bangsamoro government.

"BaPa fairly and honorably concedes the results of the first parliamentary elections in BARMM," Sema said in a statement on Wednesday. BaPa earned 35,671 votes, accounting for 1.9 percent of the total votes cast in the regional balloting.

"This electoral exercise is the fruit of a long Bangsamoro struggle for self-determination, and it deserves to be honored with peace, order, and honesty. It is democracy at work," Sema stated. Sema emphasized that his party participated in the democratic process with integrity.

"Despite these troubling incidents, the BaPa participated in the electoral process with untarnished integrity and unwavering loyalty to the trust and confidence reposed in us by the people," he further noted. Sema expressed gratitude for the efforts of BaPa nominees, party officials, and workers.

He also highlighted that the MNLF and BaPa will continue to work with the regional parliament, reaffirming their commitment to the peace, security, and stability of the Bangsamoro region.
