KUALA LUMPUR, The Ministry of Education (MOE) will be conducting a reevaluation of the Physical Activity, Sports and Co-Curriculum Assessment (PAJSK) data of 2023 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) students who had their PAJSK scores dropped. KPM in a statement today said the data will be handed over to the University Central Unit (UPU) for the purpose of matching and offering further studies subject to candidate according to qualifications and programme vacancies. "The Ministry of Education takes seriously the issue of Sijil Pelajaran Malaysian (SPM) graduates who had their PAJSK scores dropped. "Immediate action has been taken to re-assess the PAJSK data of affected candidates," according to the statement. The ministry said that it is conducting a detailed investigation into the matter and implementing intervention measures to resolve it and ensure that the same issue does not recur in the future. For the record, SPM graduates who applied to continue their studies through the UPU system will see the merit score calculation include 10 per cent of the co-curriculum score in addition to the exam results. Recently, the media reported on the issue of PAJSK marks for SPM graduates being left empty resulting in some students failing in their application to continue their studies at higher education institutions or the offers they received were not their first choice.
