Central luzon: Police Regional Office in Region 3 (PRO-3) reported significant gains in its anti-crime and anti-illegal drug campaigns for January 2026, arresting hundreds of suspects and seizing illegal drugs valued at more than PHP24.2 million.

According to Philippines News Agency, PRO-3's intensified manhunt operations resulted in the arrest of 814 wanted individuals throughout the month. Among those apprehended, 124 were listed as most wanted, with 79 individuals ranked in the top 10 at regional, provincial, and municipal levels. This achievement reflects the region's focused and intelligence-driven tracking efforts.

The simultaneous anti-drug operations conducted by PRO-3 amounted to 659, leading to the capture of 943 suspects, including 22 identified as high-value individuals. The operations resulted in the confiscation of substantial quantities of illegal drugs. Among these were 3,499.4 grams of shabu, valued at PHP23,796,489; 1,229.2 grams of dried marijuana leaves, valued at PHP147,503; 144.8 grams of kush, worth PHP217,341; and ecstasy, estimated at PHP74,346. The total value of all seized illegal drugs reached PHP24,236,481.

PRO-3 chief Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio I. Pe±ones Jr. credited these accomplishments to disciplined police work and the strong commitment of personnel in the field. He stated, "These accomplishments are the result of focused operations, strong intelligence support, and the dedication of our police officers who continue to put public safety first in line with the PNP Focused Agenda. Every arrest made and every illegal drug seized is a step toward safer communities for the people of Central Luzon."
