Manila: The Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) has resumed operations on Monday after a four-day shutdown for rehabilitation works during the Holy Week. In a message to reporters, the rail line management said train operations are back online, even at the Quezon Avenue Station, where rehabilitation works are still ongoing.

According to Philippines News Agency, MRT-3 General Manager Michael Capati stated that ongoing station improvements include the rehabilitation of station flooring, repainting of walls, improved signage and wayfinding, the installation of bigger fans, and additional window louvers for safety and rain protection. These improvements aim to enhance passenger safety and convenience, as well as ensure the efficient operation of the rail service.

The Quezon Avenue Station serves as the pilot station for the eventual general rehabilitation of the MRT-3. The MRT-3, along with the Light Rail Transit Line 1 and Line 2, suspended operations beginning Maundy Thursday until Easter Sunday as part of the annual scheduled repair and rehabilitation of the rail line.
