Manila: The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) announced on Thursday that it classified a total of 10,278 materials in the month of August. These materials comprised 9,326 television programs, 712 TV plugs, 84 publicity materials, 111 movie trailers, and 45 local and foreign films.

According to Philippines News Agency, the MTRCB remains committed to its mission of ensuring responsible and age-appropriate ratings while fostering the growth of the creative industry. MTRCB chairperson Lala Sotto emphasized the board's dedication to this mission in a statement.

From January to August, the MTRCB has rated and classified a total of 125,369 materials. This comprehensive review process is designed to ensure that all materials submitted to the board adhere to age-appropriate rating and classification standards, as stated by the agency.
