CAMP SK PENDATUN, Maguindanao Norte - The police announced Tuesday the arrest of two most wanted persons (MWP) involved in murder and rape cases. Brig. Gen. Prexy Tanggawohn, director of the Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR), said 'Keding,' the No. 2 MWP in Marantao, Lanao del Sur, was arrested in Barangay Campong Inudaran at 4 p.m. Monday. 'Police agents served the warrant of arrest for murder against Keding in his home,' Tanggawohn said in an interview on Tuesday, adding that the arrest was made following months of surveillance and intelligence operations. The Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 8 in Marawi City recommended no bail for Keding, who also yielded an Uzi machine gun, shabu and marked money, according to the police report. Keding did not resist arrest but denied the murder charges, the police said. Also on Monday afternoon, rape, acts of lasciviousness and sexual assault suspect 'Phil' was arrested in Barangay Biaba Damag, Marawi City on the strength of an arrest warrant issued by RTC Branch 57 in Mabini, Davao de Oro.
