Nearly 4 Million Voter Applications Processed for 2026 Elections

Manila: The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has processed nearly 4 million voter applications since the voter registration activities resumed in October 2025, in preparation for the November 2026 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE).

According to Philippines News Agency, the latest data from the poll body indicates that a total of 3,909,634 voter applications have been processed so far. Female applicants constitute the majority with 2,017,757 applications, while male applicants account for 1,891,877.

Region 4-A, also known as Calabarzon, leads in the number of applications with 642,217. It is followed by Region 3 (Central Luzon) with 434,920 applications, and the National Capital Region with 397,450. The Cordillera Autonomous Region has the lowest number of applications processed, with a total of 53,954.

The ongoing voter registration is not limited to new voters; it also includes applications for transfer, change of status or correction of entries, and reactivation. Applicants are reminded to bring a valid government-issued ID when registering.

The nationwide voter registration will continue until May 18, 2026, allowing ample time for eligible voters to participate in the upcoming elections.
