Manila: The Negros Occidental Public Employment Services Office (PESO): is urging companies and employers to list job openings on the newly launched Negros Jobs online portal. 'We are expecting more employers to be part of this initiative after its launch on Wednesday,' Provincial PESO manager Karen Dinsay stated in an interview on Thursday.

According to Philippines News Agency, Negros Jobs offers a centralized, accessible, and efficient platform that connects job seekers with employment opportunities in Negros Occidental. It is designed to streamline the hiring process and assist employers in reaching qualified applicants by providing real-time job listings and application tools that support workforce development and expand livelihood opportunities for Negrenses.

As of Thursday afternoon, the portal had attracted seven registered employers with 14 active job vacancies, while more than 2,000 active job seekers have already accessed the platform. Through this initiative, the provincial government aims to boost employment opportunities in Negros Occidental by providing accessible employment initiatives and community-driven opportunities, equipping individuals with comprehensive guidance, resources, and support systems to help them make informed decisions and pursue meaningful career paths.
