Bacolod city: The Negros Island Coffee Fiesta 2026 will showcase how the Negrense community is shaping the future of the Philippine coffee in a three-day event set to open Aug. 7 at Ayala Malls Capitol Central here.

According to Philippines News Agency, the event, which began in 2024 under its original name, Negros Occidental Coffee Fiesta, is spearheaded by the Negros Occidental Coffee Council and the Philippine Coffee Guild. The event receives support from the Negros Occidental provincial government, Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Agriculture, and Mailum Organic Village Association of Bago City.

The fiesta aims to celebrate the people behind every cup, from farmers and processors to roasters, caf©s, and coffee enthusiasts. It features coffee experiences, competitions, talks, and panel discussions, fostering meaningful connections across the coffee value chain.

Organizers stated, "You'll discover new flavors, learn from industry leaders, meet passionate coffee people and experience how one community is shaping the future of Philippine coffee."

Competitions highlighting creativity, craftsmanship, and excellence include the Latte Art Throwdown on Aug. 7, the Philippine Coffee Brewers League on Aug. 8, and the Signature Beverage Challenge on Aug. 9.

Last year, the Negros Occidental Coffee Fiesta attracted more than 4,500 visitors at the same venue. "But beyond the numbers were the conversations, new partnerships, shared learning and the growing appreciation for Philippine coffee. This year, we're inviting you to be part of the next chapter," organizers said.
