Negros Oriental Job Fair Offers Over 4,000 Local and Overseas Opportunities

Dumaguete: Over 4,000 job vacancies, both local and overseas, will be available at the Labor Day mega-job fair organized by the Negros Oriental provincial government in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE). Alein Balsamo, manager of the province's Public Employment Service Office (PESO), announced during a Kapihan forum that the mega-job fair will also host a one-stop shop featuring various government agencies providing essential public services.

According to Philippines News Agency, Balsamo emphasized the significance of Labor Day, noting that it is more than just a date on the calendar. "This special occasion transcends a mere date on the calendar; it serves as a potent reminder of the dedication, resilience, and unwavering hard work of the Filipino workforce," Balsamo said. "Labor Day stands as a tribute to every single worker who contributes to the growth and overall development of our nation."

The job fair will see the participation of fourteen local employers offering a total of 701 vacancies and five overseas agencies presenting 3,477 job opportunities. The event is scheduled to take place at the Lamberto Macias Sports Center on May 1 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

In addition to job opportunities, several government agencies such as the National Bureau of Investigation, Department of Trade and Industry, Social Security System, and the Technical Education Skills and Development Authority will be present to offer their services at the one-stop shop.
