Angeles City: Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Pe±ones Jr. assumed the top post of Police Regional Office-Central Luzon (PRO-3) in a ceremonial turnover of command here Monday, replacing Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo. In his inaugural address, Pe±ones laid down his leadership thrust, emphasizing swift response, accountability, and unity within the police force.
According to Philippines News Agency, Pe±ones declared a commitment to a rapid response time, aiming for a five-minute response to incidents. He stressed the importance of availability and accessibility among all commanders, underscoring that public service demands urgency and cannot wait. The turnover ceremony was presided over by Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr., deputy Philippine National Police (PNP) chief for administration.
Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, the outgoing PRO-3 chief, was appointed as the new head of the Directorate for Comptrollership, effective June 20. In his speech, Pe±ones highlighted the critical role of trust and teamwork within the police force, urging personnel to foster solidarity and mutual support.
