MANILA: There will be 'no sacred cows' in the investigation into the escape of dismissed Bamban, Tarlac mayor Alice Guo, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Tuesday said as he hinted that he now knows the people who helped the former mayor leave the country. In an interview with reporters at Malacañan Palace in Manila, Marcos said the investigation on Guo's departure is 'almost finished.' He said he had a 'very good idea' about those who helped Guo leave the country, 'We will identify all of those who are involved in this and we will act very quickly,' Marcos said when asked whose heads would roll following Guo's departure. Marcos did not divulge further details but said there were immigration personnel who would be held accountable. 'That's the last part of this investigation - how far, how deep does this go. Isa lang bang tao ang involved o marami sila, o sindikato ito (Is there only one person involved or many, or is it a syndicate). That's what we're looking for. There are no sacred cows,' he said. G uo is facing complaints about her alleged involvement in the illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) in the country and questions about her citizenship. Despite being the subject of an immigration lookout bulletin due to the ongoing investigations, Guo was able to leave the country last July 18. Guo reportedly headed to Malaysia, arrived in Singapore on July 21, and traveled to Indonesia on Aug. 18. Guo's sister, Shiela, and business associate Cassandra Li Ong have been arrested in Indonesia and already sent back to the Philippines. During the Senate Subcommittee on Justice and Human Rights hearing, Shiela admitted that she left the country with the dismissed mayor by boat. Source: Philippines News Agency
