No Voters’ Registration Nationwide During Holidays – Comelec

Manila: Voter registration activities nationwide are suspended during the holidays.

According to Philippines News Agency, there will be a five-day break from the poll-related events this month and in early January 2026.

Under Comelec Resolution No. 11177, there will be no voter registration activities on Dec. 24 (Christmas Eve), Dec. 25 (Christmas Day), Dec. 30 (Rizal Day), Dec. 31 (New Year's Eve), and Jan. 1, 2026 (New Year's Day).

The activities are being conducted in connection with the holding of the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) on Nov. 2, 2026. Latest data from the poll body showed that there is a total of 1,020,694 processed voter registration applications from Oct. 20 to Dec. 21.

Of the number, 785,420 applicants are for the village polls, while those who applied as youth voters are 235,274. The voters' registration is set to conclude on May 18, 2026.
