Manila: The Civil Service Commission (CSC) announced on Monday its pursuit of government workers who have significantly impacted the lives of the people they serve, improved communities, or contributed notably to the nation. Nominations for the 2025 Search for Outstanding Government Workers can be submitted until March 31.

According to Philippines News Agency, the annual search is a segment of the government's Honor Awards Program (HAP), which aims to honor civil servants for their dedication and commitment to public service. The initiative also seeks to inspire others to maintain excellence and integrity in government work. Three national honor awards are included in the program: the Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award, the CSC Pagasa Award, and the Outstanding Public Officials and Employees (Dangal ng Bayan) Award. These awards acknowledge civil servants for their national impact, contributions to agency improvements, and exemplary ethical behavior, respectively.

Posthumous nominations are also accepted for public servants who died in the line of duty, provided the nomination is submitted within 12 months from the date of death. All career and non-career government employees, including appointive barangay officials, are eligible for nomination, though employees under Job Order or Contract of Service arrangements are not.

Awardees will receive various rewards and incentives, such as cash prizes, automatic promotions or salary increases equivalent to the next higher position, one-time executive check-ups, and scholarship opportunities with CSC's partner educational institutions.
