Cagayan de Oro: The new leadership at the Police Regional Office in Northern Mindanao (PRO-10) on Friday vowed to provide timely responses and implement crucial reforms. Brig. Gen. Rolindo Suguilon assured that Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III's overall mandate, encompassing three core pillars, will serve as his guiding principles for the regional office.
According to Philippines News Agency, these core pillars include swift public service, unity within the ranks, and unwavering accountability in the police force, all essential for fostering public trust. "As I begin this chapter as regional director, I do so with confidence in the men and women of PRO-10, and with a commitment to serving this region with honor, strength, and humility," Brig. Gen. Suguilon said in his speech during the turnover ceremony.
Suguilon also noted that his new role as the PRO-10 chief represents a return to his roots, as he began his police service in 1998 as a platoon leader of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion. Lt. Gen. Edgar Okubo, chief of the Directorial Staff of the Philippine National Police, presided over the turnover to Suguilon from Brig. Gen. Jaysen De Guzman, who will now assume the directorship in the PRO-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region after leading PRO-10 since September 2024.
