Manila: Police Col. Heryl L. Bruno officially assumed command as the Acting Provincial Director of the Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office (NEPPO), replacing Col. Ferdinand D. Germino during a command turnover on Tuesday: Nueva Ecija
According to Philippines News Agency, Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio I. Pe±ones Jr., acting chief of Police Regional Office-3 (PRO-3), who led the turnover, underscored the importance of disciplined and ethical leadership in the Philippine National Police.
Bruno, a distinguished member of the SINAG-LAYA Class of 2002, is familiar with Nueva Ecija, having previously served as chief of police in San Jose City and Talavera. In his acceptance speech, he outlined a leadership vision grounded in transparency, professionalism, and swift public service.
'I humbly accept this responsibility with clarity of purpose and deep resolve. Let us continue to uphold our duty with urgency, integrity, and fairness,' he told officers and guests.
Germino, meanwhile, thanked his personnel for their support and hard work, encouraging unity under the new leadership. 'It has been a meaningful journey. I trust that under Bruno's leadership, NEPPO will reach greater heights,' Germino said.
Following the ceremony, Pe±ones convened a command conference with the NEPPO Command Group and chiefs of police to discuss regional directives, realign operational goals, and reinforce NEPPO's overarching agenda of responsive, principled policing.
