Angeles City: The Police Regional Office-Central Luzon (PRO-3) reported that its operatives arrested 3,674 suspects, including 783 most wanted persons (MWPs), from January 10 to June 8 under the leadership of Brigadier General Jean Fajardo.
According to Philippines News Agency, the 783 individuals are categorized as 'city and municipal' MWPs, while the remaining 2,891 are listed as 'other wanted persons.' Among the arrested MWPs, 35 have been charged with murder, 155 with rape, 24 for robbery, 124 related to illegal drugs, and 445 with various other charges. This demonstrates the effectiveness of PRO3's intensified campaign in pursuing and capturing criminals who have long been wanted by the law.
Fajardo emphasized that the series of arrests reflects PRO3's relentless efforts to establish order, security, and justice in alignment with President Ferdinand Marcos' administration's Bagong Pilipinas (New Philippines) initiative. She praised the dedication of the PRO3 personnel, highlighting the importance of thorough intelligence gathering, proper coordination, and quick action during operations.
In a statement, Fajardo asserted the commitment to ensure that wanted criminals do not escape justice, particularly those involved in serious crimes. The arrests send a clear message that accountability is unavoidable, affirming PRO3's dedication to the safety of every citizen.
