DAVAO CITY - The Task Force Davao (TFD) and the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) confiscated PHP1.7 million worth of shabu from two suspects at the Sirawan checkpoint in Toril district on Tuesday night. Col. Darren Comia, TFD commander, said the suspects, identified as 'Harold' and 'Hany,' were driving a private vehicle and were stopped for the standard inspection around 9:45 p.m. During the search, Comia said officers discovered 256.6 grams of shabu concealed inside the vehicle. The two, reportedly traveling from Cotabato, were taken into custody after the discovery. 'We thank the checkpoint personnel for their vigilance in screening incoming individuals and vehicles, which strengthens Davao City's safety,' Comia said in an interview on Tuesday, emphasizing the importance of strict border control in maintaining public security. The seized drugs are now under the custody of DCPO's Police Station 8 for further investigation. Source: Philippines News Agency
