P1-M ‘Shabu’ Seized in One-Day Surigao Sur Operations

Surigao del sur: The Surigao del Sur Police Provincial Office reported the seizure of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of PHP1 million during two separate operations conducted on Tuesday. In a statement on Wednesday, Provincial Police Director, Col. Harry Domingo, detailed the successful operations that took place in different locations within the province.

According to Philippines News Agency, the first buy-bust operation occurred in Barangay San Pedro, Cantilan at noon on Tuesday. This operation led to the arrest of three suspects and the confiscation of 50 grams of suspected shabu valued at PHP340,000. Additionally, authorities recovered a loaded .357 Magnum revolver from the suspects. The arrested individuals were identified as 'Che,' a 40-year-old Mindanao-wide high-value individual and drug den owner; 'An-An,' a 50-year-old Mindanao cluster high-value individual and drug operations financier; and 'Ren,' a 34-year-old drug den client. Another suspect, 'Nogngo,' aged 31, evaded arrest and remains at large.

Later the same day, police operatives executed a search warrant at Che's residence in Barangay Pag-antayan. This resulted in the seizure of an additional 100 grams of suspected shabu valued at PHP680,000. Personnel from the regional office of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the police's Regional Intelligence Unit participated in the twin operations, highlighting the collaborative effort in tackling drug-related activities in the region.
