Isabela: The Department of Public Works and Highways-Western Visayas (DPWH-6) announced on Thursday the completion of a PHP20.3-million hemodialysis center at Ignacio L. Arroyo Memorial District Hospital in Isabela, Negros Occidental. The national government-funded health facility is expected to provide accessible care to patients in the province's fifth district.
According to Philippines News Agency, the project involved the construction of a three-story building with a roof deck. This healthcare facility is among the recently completed structures undertaken by the DPWH in the fifth district of Negros Occidental, which reflects the agency's commitment to community development and public service. The facility is anticipated to enhance healthcare services in the region by offering efficient and accessible hemodialysis treatment for patients.
In addition to the dialysis center, the DPWH-6 has completed a single-story 144-square-meter barangay hall in Barangay Guintubhan, Isabela, costing PHP4.9 million. This modern space now serves the local governance and community services needs of the area.
Furthermore, the DPWH-6 has constructed similar 408-square-meter covered courts in Barangay Bato, Hinigaran, and Barangay Santol, Binalbagan town, costing PHP5.4 million and PHP5.6 million, respectively. In Himamaylan City, a PHP5.4-million covered court, spanning 306 square meters, has also been completed in Barangay Libacao. These multi-purpose structures serve as venues for fiestas, medical missions, sports competitions, school programs, and evacuation shelters.
