Zambales: Police in Zambales seized PHP5 million worth of suspected shabu and arrested a high-value individual during a buy-bust operation, the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO-3) said. The operation took place at Barangay Linasin in San Marcelino town, executed by the Zambales Police Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit in collaboration with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the San Marcelino Municipal Police Station.
According to Philippines News Agency, approximately 755 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of PHP5,134,000 was confiscated from the suspect. PRO-3 chief Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo stated, "This significant drug bust is a crucial step in curbing the spread of addiction and crime in our region. We will not allow illegal drugs to destroy the future of our people."
The suspect is currently under the custody of the San Marcelino police and faces charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
