Virac: Units from the Philippine Air Force (PAF) and the US Marine Corps (USMC) have delivered family food packs (FFPs) intended for the relief of communities in Virac, Catanduanes, still reeling from the effects of Super Typhoon Uwan (international name Fung-wong).

According to Philippines News Agency, PAF spokesperson Col. Ma. Christina Basco stated that the "joint foreign disaster relief mission" with the USMC took place on Thursday. PAF personnel worked alongside US Marines to load 198 boxes of FFPs provided by the Department of Social Welfare and Development onto a USMC MV-22 Osprey aircraft at Clark Air Base, Mabalacat, Pampanga, which transported the supplies to Virac for distribution to Uwan-affected communities.

Basco noted that ground troops from the PAF, Philippine Army, and Philippine Coast Guard assisted in unloading the goods upon arrival and preparing them for immediate delivery to affected residents. She added that this collaborative effort highlights the "enduring partnership" between the PAF and the United States Armed Forces in extending timely humanitarian assistance and foreign disaster relief to Filipino communities in need.
