Garcia also noted that members not directly impacted by calamities have the option to apply for a multi-purpose loan, which similarly allows borrowing up to 80 percent of their savings. To a pply for either loan, members need to present a government ID, proof of income, and complete an application form. Borrowers have flexible repayment options, with the ability to repay within one year or extend to three years.
