Tabaco city: Malaca±ang has declared June 24 a special non-working day in Tabaco City, Albay, in celebration of the Tabak Festival. Executive Secretary Ralph Recto, by authority of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., issued Proclamation No. 1286 to formalize the declaration, signed on June 3. The proclamation stated that it is fitting and proper to give the people of Tabaco City the opportunity to enjoy and participate in the celebration.

According to Philippines News Agency, this year's festival carries the theme, "Pagrumdom, Pagrokyaw, Pasasalamat (Remembrance, Celebration, and Thanksgiving)." The public is invited to a vibrant festival featuring cultural showcases, recognition of board passers, community-centered social caravans, and performances honoring the city's heritage.

The festival will also bring government services closer to residents in upland, island, and mainland barangays. Activities begin June 15 with a community social caravan, barrio fiesta, tribal-themed dinner, and island variety show. An agricultural trade fair runs June 15-21. On June 16, a Tabak shared service facility will be blessed and inaugurated. On June 24, a senior citizens' day care center will be blessed and inaugurated.
