Pangasinan: A Super Rural Health Unit (RHU) has been inaugurated in Pangasinan to provide essential healthcare services to the local community, particularly benefiting the residents of the town's highland villages. The facility is located in Barangay Lareg-Lareg and aims to address the healthcare needs of the area.
According to Philippines News Agency, the newly constructed Super RHU offers a range of services, including free medical consultations, immunizations, prenatal services, and the provision of medicines. Dr. Anna Ma. Teresa de Guzman, the RHU physician, emphasized that all medical services at the facility are free of charge. The unit is staffed by a team of healthcare professionals, including five nurses and a midwife, ensuring that residents receive adequate care.
Dr. de Guzman also mentioned plans to expand the services offered at the Super RHU. Soon, residents will have access to dental services, X-rays, electrocardiograms (ECG), ultrasounds, and clinical laboratory services. The facility is poised to become a comprehensive healthcare provider for the community.
