Pangasinan: The municipal government of this town has partnered with NSPIRE Software and Solutions Inc. to digitalize its system to provide ease in doing business, paperless transactions, and data-driven decision-making. NSPIRE chief executive officer Harold Macapagal, in an interview on Tuesday, said the digitalization covers Prime Human Resource Management System, Social Services Management System, Queuing Management System, and Document Tracking System.
According to Philippines News Agency, the system digitalization has four phases, which starts on July 17 and is expected to be completed in 100 days. Officials of the local government and NSPIRE signed a memorandum of agreement for the tie-up on Tuesday. Macapagal said the program aims to make processes and government transactions done within minutes instead of days.
He said the PHP49-million worth digital system application, which is given to the local government for free, would help local executives get real-time data for faster decision-making. "Of course, our return of investment is the brand equity. All of us know that even big companies are investing so much. And then, we are considering this as part of our corporate social responsibility and full support to the leadership of the mayor," he said. Macapagal assured the public that they are compliant with all government regulations, and that the LGU is going to assign a data privacy officer for the system installation.
Mayor Patrick Caramat, in an interview on Tuesday, said the tie-up ensures professionalism, accountability, and transparency, and will improve efficiency in service delivery without reducing the number of employees. "We are not reducing the number of people. We are making it easier for us to work with the people so that we are not focused on the paperwork and we are more of an interactive service. In order to do that, we must have a system," he added.
