PBBM: PH-US Ties Growing Stronger, More Expansive

Ottawa: President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Saturday (Canada time) stated that the Philippines and the United States continue to enjoy strong and expanding relations.

According to Philippines News Agency, Marcos, speaking to reporters before departing for Manila following his four-day official visit to Canada, emphasized that Manila's ties with Washington have remained steady while growing even stronger under his administration.

Marcos highlighted that the Philippines and the US have been "strong partners for over a hundred years," with bilateral engagements becoming broader and deeper over time. He noted that both countries are exploring new areas of cooperation driven by emerging technologies.

"And we, in that time, our engagements with the United States have become deeper, have become more expansive and now with the new sectors that are being created by the new technologies, we have new areas even to explore," Marcos stated. "So, patuloy lang (it just continues), it is a strong and it is as active as it has ever been if not more so than before."
