Manila: President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Wednesday presided over the first-ever external security operations attended by around 160 battalion commanders from the Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (ISAFP) and the Philippine Army (PA). The event was organized to enhance coordination and operational readiness among senior military leaders, reinforcing the armed forces' external defense posture.

According to Philippines News Agency, several photos of Marcos' meeting with the battalion commanders were uploaded on the Presidential Communications Office's (PCO) official Facebook page, showing the Commander-in-Chief interacting with the participants. The PCO noted that President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. led the inaugural Battalion Commander's Symposium for External Security Operations, highlighting the significance of the gathering.

Marcos, the PCO reported, emphasized the need to strengthen the nation's overall security and stability amid evolving internal and external challenges. In his message, he encouraged stronger engagement with communities to ensure the country's security and stability. This call for enhanced community relations reflects the administration's focus on a comprehensive approach to national defense.
