Manila: The Philippine Army (PA) announced on Wednesday that it has achieved a 79 percent trust rating in the 2026 first quarter survey conducted by OCTA Research, positioning it as one of the nation's most trusted public institutions.

According to Philippines News Agency, the PA also garnered a 76 percent satisfaction rating in the survey carried out from March 19 to 25 through face-to-face interviews. The survey highlights that the highest trust and satisfaction ratings were recorded in Mindanao and the Visayas, particularly in the Zamboanga Peninsula, Caraga, Western Visayas, and Northern Mindanao, as stated by Army spokesperson Col. Louie Dema-ala.

Dema-ala emphasized that these results reflect the Army's critical role as a security protector, crisis responder, and institutional stabilizer. Army Chief Lt. Gen. Antonio Nafarrete also commented on the survey outcomes, noting that they demonstrate the significant trust the Filipino people place in the PA. He added that the Army is viewed not only as a security force but also as a stabilizing institution and a key partner in nation-building.

The survey was conducted with 1,200 respondents aged 18 and above from Class A, B, C, D, and E households across the nation, maintaining a margin of error of ±3 percent.
