Manila: The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) announced on Thursday that several accredited collecting agents (ACAs) are set to initiate the rollout of a pre-validation system for premium contribution payments beginning December 15. This initiative is part of PhilHealth's efforts to streamline and enhance the payment validation process for its members who utilize the over-the-counter collection scheme.
According to Philippines News Agency, the development follows PhilHealth Circular No. 2022-0021. The ACAs that are prepared to implement the new system include Bank of Commerce, Bank One Savings Corporation, Century Rural Bank, CIS Bayad Center, Penbank Inc., and Philippine Business Bank, Inc. Additionally, other institutions such as Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation, UCPB Savings Bank, Camalig Bank, Inc., and SM Mart, Inc. are slated to begin operations under the new system in January 2026. The Rural Bank of Jose Panganiban and Ventaja International Corporation are also included in the accredited list.
Under the improved collection procedure, PhilHealth members are advised to generate a Statement of Premium Account (SPA) through the PhilHealth Member Portal or the PhilHealth SPA Generator. Members must present this SPA to the collecting agent prior to making a payment. To ensure a seamless process, ACAs will be equipped with QR codes that facilitate real-time validation of the SPAs generated through the SPA Generator.
PhilHealth urges its members to review the updated list of ACAs available on its official website at www.philhealth.gov.ph/partners/collecting. For further assistance, members can access the SPA Generator via https://spagen.philhealth.gov.ph or reach out to the 24/7 PhilHealth hotline at (02) 8662-2588.
