Phivolcs Logs 379 Aftershocks from Offshore Cebu Quake

Cebu: The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) recorded 379 aftershocks from the magnitude 6.9 offshore Cebu earthquake as of 4 a.m. Wednesday. At least 100 of these aftershocks were plotted or located, with magnitudes ranging from 1.4 to 4.8.

According to Philippines News Agency, the strong earthquake jolted Cebu province late Tuesday. The epicenter was situated 21 km northeast of Bogo City. Intensity V tremors were felt in several areas, including Argao in Cebu, the City of Sipalay in Negros Occidental, the City of Lapu-Lapu, and the City of Tacloban.
