PHLPost Unveils Centennial Stamps for University of Pangasinan’s 100th Anniversary

Manila: The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) on Wednesday released a special set of commemorative stamps to mark the 100th founding anniversary of the University of Pangasinan (now PHINMA UPang). The stamps celebrate the institution's century-long legacy of excellence and service since its establishment in 1925, PHLPost said in a news release.

According to Philippines News Agency, the limited-edition philatelic release features a four-stamp collection, each design showcasing symbols of PHINMA UPang's proud heritage. Included are a stylized illustration of its iconic building, the official university seal, and its 100th-anniversary logo. The designs reflect the university's enduring values of truth, science, and virtue, and its pivotal role in shaping generations of leaders and innovators in the region.

Complementing the stamps is an official first-day cover that creatively captures PHINMA UPang's transformative journey-from its humble beginnings in Dagupan City to its present status as one of Northern Luzon's leading higher education institutions. Printed using offset lithography with elegant gold foil stamping, the stamps are now available for purchase at selected post offices nationwide, making them a prized collectible for alumni and philatelists.

Founded in 1925, the University of Pangasinan has consistently upheld its mission of 'making the lives of others better' by offering accessible, high-quality education that empowers students to succeed and contribute to their communities.
