Manila: The Philippines' Tennielle Madis and Stefi Marithe Aludo clinched the doubles title in the second leg of the ITF J30 Manila at Rizal Memorial Tennis Center hardcourt in Manila. The duo, who are set to compete in the upcoming Thailand Southeast Asian Games, secured victory against South Korea's second seeds Nam Gyuree and Park Seojin with scores of 6-1, 6-4.
According to Philippines News Agency, in the singles competition, No. 1 seed Tennielle Madis continued her impressive run by defeating fifth seed Nam Gyuree 6-2, 6-3, earning her a place in the finals against No. 3 seed Park Seojin. In the other semifinal match, Park Seojin outplayed No. 2 seed Stefi Marithe Aludo with a score of 6-3, 6-3.
In the boys' division, the top-seeded pair of Do Gyeom from South Korea and Gao Ruochen from China emerged victorious in their doubles match. They defeated Thailand's second seeds Ariyaphol Leekul and Napal Pattanalertphan with a 6-3, 6-1 scoreline, claiming the doubles title.
In the singles category, No. 2 seed Gao Ruochen of China advanced to the finals after defeating first-leg champion Aoi Ishizaki of Japan with scores of 6-4, 6-3 in the semifinals. Gao is set to face Japan's fifth seed Kango Endoh in the final, who achieved a remarkable 6-3, 7-5 win over No. 1 seed Do Gyeom.
