PM Anwar Performs Friday Prayers At Pulau Indah Mosque

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim performed Friday prayers at Sultan Abdul Aziz Mosque, Pulau Indah here today. Anwar arrived at about 1.15 pm and was greeted by Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari, Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz, the mosque management and congregants present. Joining nearly 1,000 congregants, Anwar listened to a sermon titled 'Why did GISB Holdings Sdn Bhd (GISBH) Do Such Thing to Children?' delivered by the mosque's Imam 1, Mohd Asyraf As'ad Zainuddin. The sermon underscored the message that children are a trust from Allah SWT and that their well-being and honour are to be upheld. It also highlighted the important roles of parents, guardians and charitable homes in shaping a positive future for children by creating a peaceful and safe environment. The sermon further emphasised the need for children to be raised with proper upbringing, rejecting any form of exploitation for personal gain. Earlier, the prime minister had l unch at Dila Amazing Corner after attending the groundbreaking ceremony for Westports 2 and a gathering with Westports employees. In his speech at the gathering, Anwar shared that his routine of performing Friday prayers and dining at local eateries with the people allows him to understand their issues better. 'Every Friday, I eat at a local warung. Many want to host me at luxurious five-star hotels, but I choose stalls because I want to know their struggles, such as how much rent they pay, what facilities they have and then we work towards finding solutions,' he said.
