PMA to Host 1st International Conference of Cadets in November

Baguio city: The Philippine Military Academy (PMA) will host the first International Conference of Cadets (ICC) in November in support of the Philippines' chairship of the ASEAN Summit. "This will serve as a platform for cultural exchange, professional development, and the sharing of best practices in military education and leadership," said Lt. Commander Jesse Nestor Saludo on Friday. He noted that approximately 19 countries, including ASEAN member states, are set to participate in the conference.

According to Philippines News Agency, the ICC is scheduled to take place from November 17 to 23, 2026, at the PMA. The event will feature speakers such as former military strategists, corporate leaders, and academicians. The theme of the conference is "From Cadets to Catalysts: Transformational Leadership in a Globalized World," marking it as a pioneering event in the academy's history.

In an earlier press conference, PMA superintendent Vice Admiral Caesar Bernard Valencia mentioned that cadets from allied nations would be invited to discuss topics including security and modern warfare. He highlighted that PMA cadets have been visiting other military academies abroad as part of their training and exposure to similar institutions.
