PNP Anti-Drug Group Seizes P3.6-M Narcotics, Nabs 16 in Weeklong Ops

Manila: The Philippine National Police-Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) has confiscated over PHP3.6 million worth of illegal drugs and arrested 16 drug personalities from June 2 to 8.

According to Philippines News Agency, PDEG acting chief Brig. Gen. Jason Capoy reported that 13 operations during the specified period resulted in the seizure of 542 grams of shabu valued at PHP3.68 million.

The operations led to the arrest of 13 high-value individuals and three street-level drug suspects. Brig. Gen. Capoy stated that these arrests are anticipated to significantly impact local drug syndicates.

"This achievement not only upholds public safety but also strengthens the trust and confidence of the people in law enforcement," Capoy said.
